Momentum can be a double-edged sword, though, as players will take more damage when fighting at higher momentum tiers, increasing the risk in exchange for powerful moves. The combat system also incorporates a "momentum" mechanic that transforms the available move sets as battles heat up. The gauntlet can transform into different shapes between attacks, taking on the shapes of axes, hammers, daggers, whips, and other weapons. The player character is equipped with a special shapeshifting gauntlet weapon. Players are on a quest through a timeless desert to "liberate mankind from the oppression of the gods".
